Near East Primary School, which takes steps in parallel with the Information Technologies and Software courses in the developing world education systems, has added the "Robotic Coding" course as a basic course to the curriculum of the 4th and 5th grades starting from 2018-209 academic year.

With Robotics Coding Course, which has already been applied as an activity and will be taught as a course in the new academic year, students will build robots using Lego parts and write software codes and learn how to make and manage smart machines by transferring these codes to robots.

According to the information given from Near East Primary School, Robotics Coding course will be implemented by using computer games and applications that will be suitable for that age of students by computer teachers, one day a week, one hour a week. With the Robotics Coding course, which is a collaborative field of study involving the whole of the computer, electronics and space sciences, the aim is to encourage children to develop creativity skills and engineering knowledge at an early age.

Hasan Yükselen: "We Are Aiming To Increase Children's Systematic Thinking Capabilities"
At the same time, the Head of the School, Hasan Yükselen, who noted that coding is considered to be the language of the digital age, and that coding is as important as learning to read and write, he said that they aim to to raise a generation that reads, thinks and produces.

The Head of the School emphasized that with the help of Robotics Coding, children can develop not only knowledge in the field of technology, but also develop their transferable skills, logic execution, spatial thinking skills, and so on as required in almost every area of life. l.

Yükselen said that in the next years, coding techniques would be used in almost all jobs and that artificial intelligence, robotics, etc. would be developing very fast. Yükselen said that because the coding is the core of all these substructures, they gave importance to software technologies as a necessity of the new age.
