Assessment and Evaluation

Our Guidance Practices
The psychological counseling and guidance unit at Near East Preschool aims to support the positive self and personality development of our students while also focusing on enhancing and developing their social skills. Our guidance unit works closely with families, employing a preventive and supportive approach to ensure that necessary interventions and guidance can be provided as needed by closely monitoring the development of our children.

Assessment and Evaluation

Nursery: Education during the preschool period is based on supporting areas of development. To determine the level in each developmental area, observation-based assessment and evaluation must be conducted at different times. Based on the results obtained, educational activities and programs are prepared to meet the needs of the students. The evaluations are shared with parents through interim reports, considering the characteristics of the monthly development periods throughout the year. Additionally, portfolio presentations, which are considered the most valuable and important form of assessment, are conducted once a year by our 2-year-old students. For our "Portfolio Interaction Days," where families actively participate, play environments are created from classes that support each developmental area. Families have the opportunity to observe and evaluate their children’s development firsthand while playing in the school environment.
