Our Rules
Near East Nursery Rules

GENERAL

  • To ensure that our students benefit fully from the program implemented at our school, parents are expected to be sensitive about school hours. Students must be at school by 8:15 AM at the latest.
  • For the safety of our students, parents are expected not to enter areas where classrooms are located; they should drop off and pick up their children at the school entrance. If a student is to be picked up by an adult other than their parent, the classroom teacher or school administration should be informed. Otherwise, the student will not be handed over to the person who arrives.
  • If a student needs to be picked up early for any special reason, parents are expected to inform the classroom teacher.
  • Parents are expected to park their vehicles in the areas designated by security.

DRESS CODE

  • Parents are expected to label all personal belongings sent to school with their child’s name. The school will not be responsible for lost items without names.
  • Students are expected to bring a complete set of spare clothes to school.
  • Students should avoid wearing accessories of high monetary or sentimental value when coming to school.

HEALTH

  • Students with a fever or contagious illness cannot attend school. After recovery, a doctor’s note stating that the student is fit to return to school must be submitted to the administration.
  • During school hours, if a student develops a fever, they will be checked by the school nurse, and the family will be informed. In such cases, the student must be picked up from school.
  • Students who require medication but are otherwise fit to attend school are expected to provide the medication information along with a doctor’s report to the classroom teacher. The school nurse will monitor the submission of this document and the medication use.
  • In the event of an accident at school, first aid will be administered by the school nurse, and the family will be informed. If necessary, with parental consent, the student may be referred to YDU/Dr. Suat Günsel Hospital.

BIRTHDAYS

  • Parents may celebrate their child’s birthday at school with classmates if they wish. To maintain classroom order, parents are not allowed to attend the celebration.
