Near East Junior College and Preschool Students commemorated Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with pride, yearning and esteem

It was announced that Near East Junior College and Preschool students commemorated great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on his 80th death anniversary.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the ceremony at the Near East Junior College began with a minute’s silence, in memory of all those who sacrificed their lives for this country, followed by the national anthem. Later, Tuana Taşköprü from Class 5H made a speech pointing out the significance of Atatürk’s life for all of us. The speech was followed by the reading of several poems by the students, and the school choir sang the song titled as “Nasıl Söylerim Öldüğünü”. Subsequently, the choir sang “Kimseyi Tanımadım Ben Senden Daha Güzel”, It was pointed out that both the teachers and the students of the school lived emotional moments regarding Atatürk.

As for the Near East Preschool, the young students placed flowers to Atatürk’s statue as a means of showing their love, gratitude and respect.
